About the Artist

Meet Roger Moore.

Like many of you, Roger’s passion for wild creatures began in childhood. A native Californian, his boyhood was spent exploring the oak woodlands, creeks, and majestic wetlands of the vast Central Valley and the soaring beauty of the Sierra Nevada Range.

After completing studies at the University of Washington, Roger made his home in the Pacific Northwest where he spent many content years fly-fishing the enchanting streams of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Additionally, he enjoyed waterfowl hunting along the misty estuaries of Southwest Washington. He’s back in California now, and continues to enjoy the solitude and tranquility that only nature can bring.

What began as a pragmatic need for an enticing fly and a believable hunting rig, has evolved into a new and unique form of wildlife art. Roger’s intention has never been to emulate nature, but rather to interpret that which inspires him applying his own distinct style. More than fifty years of fly-fishing, duck hunting, backpacking and whitewater river guiding have contributed to the interpretative inspiration he brings to his art.

All of Roger’s pieces are hand-hewn and made of the highest quality materials. These one-of-a-kind creations are perfect for the discriminating art-lover who is also a nature enthusiast. We hope Roger’s art will strike a chord in your personal journey as you explore and experience all things wild!
